By today’s standards, the technology may feel primitive, but at the time, this was one of the first 360° live concert experiences of its kind. After seeing a VR demo from Mark Romanek, Paul McCartney immediately wanted to explore the medium for his historic show at Candlestick Park. With little preparation time and notoriously unpredictable early-stage VR technology, we pulled it off, leading to more work with McCartney and other artists.
